Bill Payment

Wayne Water District offers a variety of payment methods because payment on each account is vital to continued water service. Past due accounts are subject to disconnection at anytime without notice. Past due accounts that have been disconnected must be paid in full, including a $50.00 service fee and any difference between the initial deposit and current deposit fee, prior to restoration of service.

Good to Know
Regardless of method, payments received after 5:00 pm are credited the next business day.

AutoPay - Bank Draft
Ensure your payments are received on time each month by avoiding mail delays, unforseen circumstances and even simple oversight! Customers may complete a bank draft request form, provide photo ID and a voided check at WWD's office located at 3600 Commercial Dr, Goldsboro, NC. Payments will automatically post to your water account on the due date of the bill, but depending on your bank, may take several business days to clear. To cancel a draft, you must complete a from in our office and you should allow approximately ten (10) days for the cancellation to become effective. 

Phone Payments
Payments can be made by phone at (844)953-2842 to access the system 24/7, you must have your account number located on your most recent bill. Payments will post to your account the next business day. If your account has been disconnected for nonpayment or is scheduled to be disconnected, you must contact our office with your confirmation number to have your service restored. 

Web Payments
Payments can be made here at our website. To access the system 24/7, you must have your account number located on your most recent bill. Payments will post to your account on the next busness day. Please note: we do not retain credit card information, so if want auto pay, see the Bank Draft option above. If your account has been disconnected for nonpayment or is scheduled to be disconnected, you must contact our office with your confirmation number to have your service restored.

Office and After-Hours Dropbox
Payments can be made with cash, check or credit card in person at our office located at 3600 Commercial Drive, Goldsboro, NC, Monday - Friday between 8:30 AM and 5 PM. This is not a mailing address and we are not responsible for misdirected mail.

Our office has an After-Hours Dropbox located in the drive thru area. Payments placed in this box will post to your account the next business day.

Payment by Mail
Payments can be sent to PO Box 1580, Goldsboro, NC 27533-1580. Effective October 1, 2021 the United States Postal Service (USPS) revised their service standards, potentially resulting in longer delivery times. We are already seeing delays that are impacting our customers negatively. We recommend using one of the payment options above that will bypass the USPS. Payments post to your account the day we receive them. Delayed delivery by the USPS may result in additional fees and interruption of water service. 

Payments Through your Bank Bill Pay
We do not recommend paying your water bill through your bank bill pay option. We receive these payments through the USPS, not electronically. Your bank will cut us a paper check and mail it. The funds are withdrawn from your account at the time the bank cuts the check, however, payment will not post to your water account until we receive the check. It is the slowest form of payment and almost always results in extra fees for our customers due to bank processing and delivery times.
