NWWSD FLUSHING

NWWSD will be conducting routine water main flushing in your area starting today for about 5 weeks during the hours of 8:00 am till 5:00 pm. This essential maintenance work is part of the commitment to deliver the highest quality drinking water for our customers. Flushing removes accumulated settlement, mineral deposits, and biofilm that could build up in water mains. This helps prevent discoloration and taste issues and ensures water quality. Water might be temporary discolored and/or cloudy during and immediately after flushing. This is normal and is caused by stirred-up settlement. Avoid washing clothes during flushing to prevent staining. A temporary drop in your water pressure might occur during the process. The water will remain safe to drink even if discolored. If discoloration or low pressure persist more than a few hours please contact us.
